"More than this, yes. More than this, one can stay silent."
On the occasion of Genesis Breyer P. Orridge's birthday, New York based author and artist, Amir Mogharabi will dedicate a site specific setting, around the ominous figure of the Psychic Cross, and its formal relation to the body of Henry Flynt's inspirational philosophical oeuvre. Corresponding with the closing of Orridge's recent exhibition, the special event will tie cross-genrational references, including text-based recordings from relevant artists (William S. Burroughs, Marcel Janco, Allais Young, Henry Flynt, Adrian Piper, Soma Wingelaar, Lucie Fontaine, Genesis P. Orridge, Jeffrey Perkins, Marcel Duchamp and Rrose Selavy), and a collaborative video installation with Amy Granat, who served as co-editor of Black Noise, a comprehensive text on inaudible sounds, including the work of Orridge.
